Coming from a family of musicians, Bahar started playing the violin at a young age. During her conservatory studies, she discovered the instrument-making department, and her interest in this field grew. The idea of making her own violin deeply excited her. Following her passion, she graduated with honors from the String Instruments Department at the Istanbul Technical University State Conservatory.
Throughout her education, she worked with leading makers in Turkey and Europe. Her first violin, made during university, was played by the world-renowned violinist Cihat Aşkın at a concert, an honor that deeply touched Bahar. In 2014, she established her first workshop in Istanbul's Taksim district, where she quickly gained a number of esteemed musician clients. For the past two years, she has continued her work in her workshop located in Bodrum/Gümüşlük. After ITU, she completed Pedagogical Formation training at Yıldız Technical University and graduated from the Child Development Department at Atatürk University. She continued her professional development by participating in various international workshops, where she had the opportunity to work with master luthiers such as Jurgen Manthey, Nicolas Gilles, and Wolfram Neureither.
As a violin-playing luthier, Bahar has a deep understanding of the needs of musicians. She places great importance not only on the sound quality of the instruments she makes but also on their playability. The excitement she feels with each new instrument she begins to make fuels her dedication and motivation. For her, violin-making is not just about carving wood; it is a soulful craft.
Bahar has been involved in many significant projects and has collaborated with world-renowned luthiers in international workshops she has organized. In Bodrum, she hosted a workshop with notable names such as Jan Strick, Niall Flamming, Verena Behrendt, M. Ufuk Güler, and İsmail Kaya, which played a crucial role in her professional growth.
